Three Unique Photo Ideas for Wedding Rings
Written by Cynthia Findlay Antiques
A wedding band is a symbol of your love and commitment. This is why many photographers make sure to photograph the bands on the wedding day. Want some photo ideas that are out of the ordinary? Whether you’re a wedding photographer or about to get married, here are three unique ways to capture wedding rings with a camera.
Use a prop from the wedding décor. Wedding rings are best photographed when they are on some kind of pedestal. Instead of using a random pedestal, choose an item from the day’s decorations. For example, if you have personalized napkins made for the wedding day, consider placing the rings on top of the napkins. If possible, focus on the rings as well as the names inscribed on the napkins. You can also use flowers. A set of wedding rings placed on top of a rose is a great way to capture the rings and document the flowers of the day.
Use fruit. There are many ways to use fruit to display wedding rings. For example, you can use a strawberry and hang the rings on the narrow side of the fruit. Other fruits that might work include cherries, bananas, and pomegranates.
Use the written word. Print a sheet of paper with words that describe your love or say something you want to express. Then place the rings on top of the words so that they are readable through the rings. You can also place the rings in a book, perhaps on a paragraph that means something important to the bride and groom.
